No deadline. The desired start date is April 2020. HBF has recently announced its move to a triennial format, and Melissa Chiu, Director of the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden has been appointed Curatorial Director of the third edition slated to open in 2022.

In this fractured world where optimism is often difficult to find, museums surely have an even more important role to play in bringing people together, encouraging diverse viewpoints, making space for visitors to engage in learning, giving audiences the opportunity to imagine a better future for everyone. Museums do matter.
