• About the Museum Watch Program

  

  The Museum Watch Program’s aim is to assist modern and contemporary art museum professionals in dealing with critical situations that undermine their ability to undertake their professional practice and affect a museum’s ability to operate to international standards of best practice.

  The Museum Watch Program is intended to be a tool to assist modern and contemporary art museum professionals in dealing with critical situations that impact on the museums' ability to maintain their codes of practices.

• Towards a Relationship of Care and Understanding between Museums and Artists

  

  On Monday, 27 April 2026, at 1 pm (CEST) / 7 pm (HKT), join a workshop based on the Position Paper developed through CIMAM’s Best Practices for Museums Working with Living Artists project, moderated by CIMAM Board Member and Chair of the Museum Watch Working Group, Doryun Chong, and Pascal Gielen as lead researcher.

  Members and non-members of CIMAM can easily reach the CIMAM Board and submit their case through the online form available at cimam.org. Your case will be examined by the Museum Watch Committee consisting of members of the CIMAM Board.

• 2026–28 Museum Watch Committee

  

  The 2024–25 Museum Watch Committee consists of CIMAM Board members: Doryun Chong (Chair); Sunjung Kim; Pablo Lafuente; Kamini Sawhney; Elvira Dyangani Ose; and Shabbir Hussain Mustafa.
