Post-Conference Tour: Victoria Falls & Livingstone: 23–24 November 2026

The visit to Victoria Falls will be a rich and varied two-day experience combining natural wonders, cultural immersion, and unique activities.

  • On the first day, participants will travel from Harare to Victoria Falls, enjoy a guided tour of the falls, and have lunch overlooking the Batoka Gorge. The afternoon will include a visit to a local cultural village and an ethical elephant encounter, followed by a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River. The day will conclude with a traditional dinner and drum show.
  • On the second day, the group will cross into Zambia via the Victoria Falls Bridge, including a guided historical tour. They will visit Livingstone Island at the edge of the falls and explore the Livingstone Museum to learn about the region’s history. Optional activities, such as a microlight flight, will offer a unique aerial perspective before returning to Harare.


Day 1: Monday, 23 November – Arrival at Victoria Falls & River Experience

  • 07:00 am Hotel check-out and transfer from Harare hotels to R.G. Mugabe International Airport
  • 09:00 – 10:00 am Flight from Harare to Victoria Falls International Airport (approx. 1 hour) Morning | Guided tour of Victoria Falls
  • 12:30 hrs. Lunch at The Lookout Café, perched 120 m above the Batoka Gorge, offering spectacular views of the bridge and rapids
  • 13:45 hrs. Tour to the National Art Gallery: Visit to a local homestead (Chinotimba House) to experience authentic Zimbabwean heritage
  • 15:30 hrs. Elephant Encounter: An ethical and educational interaction at the Wild Horizons sanctuary, focused on conservation
  • 17:00 hrs. Zambezi Royal Sunset Cruise: Premium experience with cocktails and canapés while enjoying sunset views over the river
  • Afternoon | Hotel check-in and time to rest and refresh, free time for optional “Flight of Angels” helicopter rides or a visit to the Craft Market
  • 19:00 hrs. The Boma Dinner & Drum Show: An interactive evening featuring traditional dancing, drumming, and local cuisine—the perfect way to conclude the day

Day 2: Tuesday, 24 November – Crossing to Livingstone (Zambia)

  • 07:30 am Hotel check-out and transfer to the Victoria Falls Bridge
  • 08:30 am Bridge Tour: Guided historical tour arranged by Wild Horizons, including access to the catwalks beneath the bridge
  • 09:30 am Border crossing into Zambia
  • 11:00 am Livingstone Island Tour: Boat trip to the edge of the falls (accessible only from the Zambian side)
  • 14:00 hrs. Livingstone Museum: Visit to Zambia’s oldest and largest museum, showcasing David Livingstone’s letters and memorabilia, providing valuable historical context
  • 16:00 hrs. Optional microlight flight: A unique open-air aerial view of the falls, available only on the Zambian side
  • Return flight to Harare


Operational Tips for the Zambia Crossing

  • KAZA Univisa: Delegates are strongly advised to request the KAZA UNIVISA (USD 50) upon arrival at R.G. Mugabe International Airport or Victoria Falls Airport. It covers both Zimbabwe and Zambia and avoids additional visa costs.
  • Yellow Fever: Delegates should check whether a Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is required, as some countries mandate it if travelers have visited Zambia.


The fee to attend the optional Post-Conference Tour is 650,00 € per participant, and it includes:

  • Monday, 23 November: transportation by plane from Harare to Victoria Falls. A full day of visits, lunch, and dinner
  • 1-night accommodation in Victoria Falls
  • Tuesday, 24 November: transportation, visits and lunch
  • Return flight to Harare in the evening
