16 April — CIMAM opens Early Bird registration exclusively for its Institutional Members to secure their place at the CIMAM Annual Conference 2026, taking place 20–22 November in Harare, Zimbabwe, hosted by the National Gallery of Zimbabwe. This marks the first time in the conference’s 58 editions that it will be held on the African continent.

This exclusive registration window for CIMAM Institutional Members will remain open from today until April 30, after which registration will open to the wider professional community, with priority access for CIMAM members.

Under the title Museums Beyond Limits: Imagining Repair Across Cultures, Ecologies and Knowledges, the conference proposes repair as a radical, plural, and ongoing practice grounded in relationality, care, and accountability.

The conference is primarily addressed to directors and curators of modern and contemporary art museums, as well as researchers and independent curators whose work engages with contemporary art theory, collections, and museum practice.
