Christian Nana Tchuisseu

Biography

Christian Nana Tchuisseu is a Cameroonian museum professional, curator, and cultural heritage specialist. He is Director of the Blackitude Museum and Art of God Gallery in Yaoundé, Cameroon, and serves as an advisor on art and cultural heritage, with expertise in contemporary art, visual culture, and museum development.

He is President of ICOM Cameroon and serves on the Board of ICOM Africa. He previously served as Vice President of the ICOM Advisory Council following the 2019 ICOM General Conference in Kyoto, Japan. He is also a member of several national and international organizations specializing in art, culture, heritage, and communication.

Nana Tchuisseu is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Arts, Culture and Communication Media Group. As a curator and exhibition commissioner, he has organized numerous contemporary art exhibitions and has published and consulted extensively in the fields of communication, culture, museums, contemporary art, fashion, design, and cinema.

His academic background includes a Graduate Diploma in Corporate Communication, with specialized training in cyber journalism, cultural journalism, and digital communication strategies. He has also completed professional training in cultural institution management, museum and heritage management, and the curation and management of contemporary art exhibitions.

In addition to his professional practice, he serves as Academic Coordinator for Bachelor's and master’s programmes in museology, heritage, and art at fine arts institutes and universities in Cameroon. He is the author of Le Répertoire des Musées du Cameroun and has curated numerous exhibitions and collections of contemporary art.

Christian Nana Tchuisseu, Director, Senior Curator, and Art Advisor at The Blackitude Museum, Yaoundé, Cameroon, has been awarded by the Saastamoinen Foundation (Helsinki, Finland).
