Instituto Cáder de Arte Centroamericano (ICAC)
In 2026, the Cader Institute of Central American Art (ICAC) —through a fellowship granted by Fundación Museo Reina Sofía— will support modern and contemporary curators, directors, and museum professionals residing in Central American countries (Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua) or members of their diasporas (residing in countries with emerging and developing economies - Groups C, D, E of this list according to Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capita by Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) of every State).
About the Instituto Cáder de Arte Centroamericano (ICAC)
The Cader Institute of Central American Art / Instituto Cáder de Arte Centroamericano (ICAC) was initiated by Mario Cáder-Frech, a collector from El Salvador and patron of Fundación Museo Reina Sofía. Hosted within the Study Directorship of the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, the Institute seeks to strengthen research, production, and visibility of contemporary art from Central America and its diaspora through initiatives that include research, publications, public programs, and the development of art and bibliographic collections.
