Jack Persekian is currently the director of the Black Gold Museum in Riyadh, KSA, slated to open to the public in 2024. Previously, Persekian held the position of Founding Director of the Sharjah Art Foundation and Artistic Director of the Sharjah Biennial from 2004 to 2011. After that held the position of Director and Head Curator of the Palestinian Museum from 2012 to 2015. He is the founder and director of Al Ma’mal Foundation from 1998 to 2003 and 2016 to 2022, Artistic Director of The Jerusalem Show from 2007 to 2018 and Qalandiya International from 2012 to 2014. In 2021 Persekian established Hebron’s Old City Museum.
