Aneta Szylak (1959–2023) was a prominent figure in the world of contemporary art and a valued member of CIMAM (International Committee for Museums and Collections of Modern Art). She made an enduring mark as co-host of the CIMAM 2021 Annual Conference in Lodz and Gdansk, Poland. The international group of conference attendees could accompany and celebrate with her the opening of NOMUS New Art Museum, the new Branch of the National Museum, that she led in Gdansk.
