TRAVEL GRANTS TO SUPPORT CONFERENCE REGISTRATION, TRAVEL AND LODGING EXPENSES FOR PARTICIPANTS (KAZAKHSTAN, KYRGYZSTAN, TAJIKISTAN, TURKMENISTAN, AND UZBEKISTAN), MONGOLIA AND TURKEY TO CIMAM’S 2010 ANNUAL CONFERENCE
The awards, valued at a maximum of 2,000 Euros each are for reimbursement of travel, lodging and payment of registration fees.
General Remarks
Travel grants will be conferred by the CIMAM board based on their assessment of the professional´s genuine financial need and the potential benefit to his/her development and/or research. The number of grant recipients and the funding level will be contingent upon the availability of funds and the number of applications received. Those individuals eligible to apply should be,
• under the age of 40 years
• in need of financial help to attend
• working in the modern or contemporary art field in an institution or independently
• applicants having received CIMAM grants will normally not be considered for a new grant for 3 years
• applicants who intend to participate actively in the event (e.g., by moderating a workshop) may be given priority
Application for a CIMAM travel grant
Only those applications accompanied by the following items will be considered
• the application form (Word, PDF)
• curriculum vitae: This document must include publications, paper presentations, and exhibitions curated in the past five years, as well as any other information relevant to the proposal
• a detailed budget: The detailed budget must also list all other sources of funding sought or obtained for the proposed project
• 2 letters of recommendation: submitted by professionals or scholars from institutions who are familiar with the applicant’s professional qualifications
Certain conditions are connected with the payment of a grant:
The grantee shall submit a written report describing their experiences and outcomes within a month of returning from the conference.
