FRANÇOIS PINAULT APPOINTS MARTIN BETHENOD AS THE NEW DIRECTOR OF PALAZZO GRASSI SPA
Martin Bethenod will become the new director of Palazzo Grassi SpA, which will make him responsible for both Palazzo Grassi itself and Punta della Dogana in Venice. Bethenod will assume the position as of June 1, 2010, reports FlashArtonline.com.
The 44-year old Bethenod has been general director of FIAC (The International Contemporary Art Fair) in Paris since 2004. He is also heading the artistic direction of the Nuit Blanche 2010 in Paris, which takes place in October of this year. Prior to his position at FIAC he was responsible for the Visual Arts Department at the French Ministry of Culture and Communication from 2003 to 2004.
