TERRY RILEY RESIGNS AS DIRECTOR OF THE MIAMI ART MUSEUM

Just a few days after announcing the completion of Herzog & de Meuron’s design development for the new 120,000-square-foot MAM in downtown Miami scheduled to open in 2013, the museum announces the resignation of Director Terry Riley effective immediately.

Riley, who is also an architect and will be returning to his firm Keenen/Riley, came to MAM in 2006 from the The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) where was serving as a Chief Curator of Architecture and Design at MoMA, after serving as a chief curator for 10 years.
